Tired of the summer heat? Love skiing? This cabin at nearly 3,000 feet above sea level yet close to Washington might be the answer. This cabin was built by the previous owner in 1999, and he took great care in its design. He personally turned each of the banisters on the stairs, for example, and incorporated a number of other nice touches such as the stained glass apex in the loft and a country stove, which looks like a relic but is a fully functioning, modern appliance.

The layout of the cabin is on three levels. The first level has a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and first bath. The second bedroom is in the loft. The basement includes the second full bath, laundry room, gas fireplace, and more living area. There is landline phone service and excellent cell coverage. There is also a satellite dish for TV service. The separate structure was originally a workshop for the first owner's wife, who was an avid quilter. The shed has electrical and phone connections. The cabin has never been rented.

The cabin is surrounded by five acres with a great view of the valley and not a home in sight. There is a wonderful walking path that cuts through the forest and connects to an old logging road. Visible from the walking path are monstrous boulders set among ferns and moss. The large fenced-in garden is home to an actively producing raspberry patch and recently planted strawberries. Outside the garden, wild black raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries abound. The property includes a landscaped pond and extensive split-rail fencing, as well as mature hardscape and landscape features.
