Job Description:/h3:
The Engineer is responsible for the preparation of contract plans and specifications, often for several projects simultaneously. This encompasses advanced calculations, systems analysis, quality control of finished projects, and field/construction coordination activities. The Engineer reports to the Senior Vice President and/or Office Management.

Essential Functions
The essential functions of the Engineer are as follows:

1. Supervises technical work of designers.
2. Assigns tasks to designers and/or CAD Specialists.
3. Reviews all work completed by designers and/or CAD Specialists.
4. Writes specifications and ensures coordination of their preparation with other disciplines.
5. Assists with marketing activities as assigned.
6. Represents ASC with clients at design meetings as assigned.
7. Assists with preparation of project fee cost estimates.
8. Processes contractor payment requisitions.
9. Contacts utility authorities for confirmation of availability, coordination of service entry points, and confirming facilities required for obtaining service from the utility.
10. Consults with local regulatory agencies for conformance of design standards.
11. Coordinates project scheduling with Project Managers.
12. Completes details and advanced calculations.
13. Conducts system analysis and comparisons with regard to economical and functional considerations.
14. Ensures coordination and review of shop drawings and field problem solutions, including preparing field reports and coordination of all elements.
15. Is actively involved in professional and trade associations and societies.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited four:year college or university
Professional Engineers license or sufficient experience to qualify for testing for a Professional Engineers license strongly preferred.
Must have strong working knowledge and experience with the following software: standard Company CAD, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
Must have demonstrated experience in making decisions and effective problem solving
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within an organization
Excellent planning and judgment skills.
PE certification preferred.
LEED certification preferred.
Valid drivers license.
