This role assists clients and customers in identifying, achieving, and maintaining weight management goals. This position provides encouragement and education of the Medifast program options to achieve success via phone consultations, response to email questions, internet:based message boards, and employee wellness activities. Supports all divisions as the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist expert providing evidence:based and ethical diet, exercise and behavior modification guidance.Provides nutrition and weight loss guidance via telephone, email, and message boards (or through other client communication tools) taking into consideration individual client needs including age, weight, nutrient requirements, knowledge and abilities, medical, economic and social situations when warranted.Provides timely support to clients and customers through phone consultations, email response, and message boards.Presents information in a clearly understood and professional fashion and takes on a customer centric approach to knowledge sharing.Works with the Medifast Wellness Committee and supports Employee Wellness initiatives via providing lectures, intranet and newsletter content, developing contests, etc.Works and supports all departments of Medifast to ensure accurate nutrition and meal plan information is provided during training initiatives when warranted.All other duties or projects assigned by the Nutrition Support Supervisor.Required to attend seminars and/or conferences related to Nutrition, Weight Management, and Health/Wellness to maintain licensure in the state of Maryland.BachelorA?s degree in nutrition, health sciences or related field.Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and/or Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist status in the state of Maryland.1 year of specific job related experience.Analytical ability with good clinical judgement.Ability to communicate with customers, other members of the team, physicians and co:workers.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ability to read, write letters, nutrition articles, summaries and reports, customer responses to questions asked, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to effectively present information to audiences with a variety of knowledge/skill levels.Requires the ability to work with confidential customer and Medifast information.Ability to be self:directed, highly organized and proactive. Strong interest in health and wellness.
