JOB ID: 2582 the Psychologist II will provide clinical services, clinical supervision and case management for outpatient cases as specified by the Director of the inpatient service, outpatient clinic, or Department Head; participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology Staff; participate in programs of systematic research. *position is working with Dr. Perkins:Parks based at Patuxent/Aliceanna The Department of Behavioral Psychology at the Kennedy Krieger Institute is currently seeking a licensed psychologist to provide outpatient clinical services to a diverse pediatric patient population of children from birth through 12 years of age. Staff members within the Behavior Management Clinic provide assessment and treatment services to children with emotional and behavioral disorders. Responsibilities include: assessment and treatment of childhood behavior problems; administrative duties related to clinical service delivery; development, recruitment, and implementation related to group therapy services. Required qualifications include:Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychologytraining and experience in applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral therapy, child psychology, and developmental psychologylicensure in Marylandat least three yearsA? experience applying behavioral and cognitive behavioral methods with childrenPCIT certified therapist preferred or interest in PCIT training and certificationprior child and parent group experience preferredschool consultation knowledge and experience preferredability to collaborate with professionals from other disciplinesprior experience supervising trainees and/or staff highly preferredclinical research interest/experience preferred.Provide direct clinical services, clinical supervision and case management of in/outpatients.Provide supportive clinical services to families of in/outpatients.Participate in research projects involving the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders.Participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff for specific programs.Provide supervision and training for Behavioral Psychology pre:doctoral interns and post:doctoral fellows.Participate in administrative, clinical and training meetings as necessary.EDUCATION:Doctoral degree in psychology required. EXPERIENCE:Minimum of two years of experience in a multi:disciplinary setting dealing with normal and disabled children is required.Must have completed a minimum of a one year clinical internship in psychology with specialization in pediatric behavior disorders.Experience in conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc. is preferred.
