The Lock Desk Specialist provides support for the Capital Markets department. Specifically, the Specialist will be responsible for loan lock functions and hedging support. In addition the Specialist will be responsible for reporting out of the Loan origination system and ad hoc reporting. The candidate will cover the evening shift of locks from 11:30PM to 8:00PM EST.Works closely Capital Markets and Loan Originations to lock interest rates on mortgages and appropriately hedge interest rate exposure.Prepares and analyzes daily Capital Markets data and reports.Designs, develops and maintains reporting databases within the Loan Origination Systems. Works closely with IT to facilitate any necessary system changes and/or updates.Analyzes pipeline for trends and performance.Facilitates inter:department meetings and design sessions for new reports and dashboards.Ad hoc reporting as required my Sr. Management.Miscellaneous duties as assigned. BachelorA?s degree in information systems, accounting, or finance required. 2 yearsA? experience in capital markets within the mortgage industry preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem:solving skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to understand sophisticated mathematical models and concepts. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of MS Access. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain focus. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations. Strong attention to detail. Capital Markets / Secondary Marketing experience in the mortgage industry is a plus. Experience with Ellie MaeA?s Encompass a plus. Approximately 20 travel required.
