The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Cyber & Intelligence Mission Solutions Division Business Development organization is seeking a Senior Business Development/Technical Professional who has a strong MPO mission, program & capabilities focus and understanding of the acquisition contracting focus as it aligns with the rollout and implementation of MPO programs. You will primarily concentrate on establishing a thorough understanding of the customer strategy and direction, and mission needs and gaps to create and shape opportunities that are consistent with the strategic direction of the BU/Division/Sector. Your focus will be in the areas of Cyber: Defense, Resilience, and Full Spectrum Operations and SIGINT: C2, MM, and Intelligence Collection and Analytics.

The NCC – Next Generation Mission Focused Account Manager will have overall responsibility and lead, in collaboration with the NCC Program Director, to develop and operationalizing the approach, alignment, and growth plans and strategy for this mission critical area of Northrop Grumman’s National Security Solutions Business Unit. To include, but not limited to: profitable business growth through market/opportunity creation, influence technology investments within the division and AC&T organizations, and mission roadmap across the FYDP.

Common Responsibilities
Make customer calls and work primarily in early phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), however remain actively engaged during opportunity qualification and proposal efforts to ensure the VOC is properly represented.

Influence, shape, and qualify new create opportunities within existing mission areas and leverage into near adjacencies that draw on the broader portfolio of the Mission Systems sector to enable mission transformation.

Will regularly meet with directorates, program offices, and mission leads to ensure a thorough understanding and alignment of mission capabilities and needs to foster and develop a mission portfolio strategy, account plan, and direction for the business.

As part of the business development responsibilities, the candidate will follow the NGC BAP in collaboration with their engineering and program management counterpart for all business development efforts leaning on and including functional participation as needed. To include: Business Management, Contracts, Security, etc. The candidate will ensure the BU/OU management are kept informed in a timely manner for decision making and that teams are adequately prepared to progress from BAP phase to BAP phase, further refining and developing the maturity of approach and offering.

The Candidate will brief senior level management on strategically significant opportunities, campaigns, or multi-domain/intelligence initiatives (mission threads). As required, the candidate will work in partnership with BU, Division, Sector, and Corporate BD staff and cross division/sector, as necessary, for the successful development and execution of business development plans, market strategies, and account plans.

The candidate will also implement business development best practices associated with strategic market identification and shaping, identification, and qualification of opportunities.
